Hello and Good Morning;

As a lot of folks here I am new to the RV world and looking for some input on a KZ 5th wheel I am considering.

I recently retired and after purchasing my first truck (2015, F350 Platinum, 6.7) my kids told me "you have to pull something with that dad"
I did a bunch of research and have narrowed it down to a couple units including the Durango Gold G381REF. (first 5th wheel too)
While it is a new offering this year, I would appreciate if there are any owners who could comment on likes and dislikes of the unit.

Also, I'd appreciate any comments on anyone's experience with build quality of KZ and the company's willingness to stand behind the product (very happy about the 2 year warranty).

Hi, welcome to the group! My 5er is somewhat smaller than what you're looking at, a 325RL.

I've had some small issues with my unit, but everything has been satisfactorily resolved with my dealer. The dealer, in my opinion, either makes or breaks your RV owning experience. The 2 year warranty is definitely a nice feature!

I'm glad to hear that your unit's issues were resolved.

I have heard that the KZ group do indeed stand behind their product and I absolutely agree with your that the dealer experience goes a long way in the RVing experience.
Nice to see the 2 year warranty as well.
I'm sure like a few others our season is relatively short ... so the two year warranty is a big influencer in the decision.

Welcome to the forum! I like your tow vehicle, I have the same truck but the Lariat instead of the Platinum. Tows our unit great and I will be ready for when we decide to upgrade to the 5th wheeler down the road. Best of luck with the new purchases!

I did a ton of research on which truck I wanted and am very pleased with the F350. Glad you like yours too. Great looking rig !!
I've had it for just over a year now and not one issue at all.

I also looked at a TT and am very impressed with the use of space inside.
As I mentioned, I have not camped before and so went in with a pretty open mind as far as what I would look at but decided to go with the 5th wheel as I understand they are easier to tow?
Also, plan on a Pullrite Superglide auto slider hitch as I think it will make it a bit easier to maneuver around

I went and saw the unit again last night and decided that the KZ will be the one I am getting ... there's only one in the entire Province so hopefully I can negotiate a deal before it goes !!
