the Three Rivers Dutch Ovens Chapter of IDOS was asked by PA DCNR to demonstrate Dutch Oven Cooking at Laurel Hill State Park, in Southwestern PA, Sept 17,2016. we will be setting up, along the lakefront, teaching the art of the black pot, conducting basic Dutch Oven 101 class, basic food preparation, pie cooking demo, and serving a evening dinner, followed by a moonlight canoe and kayak paddling course conducted by DCNR. YES A FULL MOON is even expected, should be a great time on the water after a outstanding meal prepared the old fashioned way. camping is available, and boats will be supplied by the park, or feel free to bring your own. registration is required for the paddle, by contacting Kimberly Peck, at Laurel Hill state park, camping available on PA DCNR website, the cooking classes and demo,s are free, with dinner being a donated one pot meal to cook on site. mark your calenders, and see you there!
