One upgrade/modification I feel is a must I did very shortly after taking delivery, I installed a 50 Amp electrical management system. It not only protects against surges but also: under voltage, over voltage, reversed neutral and bad ground. Had a 30 Amp one in my previous 5TH wheel, saved me a few times. I feel they are worth the expense, considering the damage that can be done. Happy Camping....

The one I installed is made by Progressive Industries in North Carolina. Model #EMS-HW50C. Sure glad I put it in before our east coast trip last month, saved us when one leg dropped out at a campground pedestal for about ten minutes. Happy Camping....

Thinking about installing the EMS-HW50C in my Connect TT. Where did you put the system?

sheaves99,
Mounted mine in the basement behind the wall and ran the readout indicator over to the docking station cabinet. On a TT you might be a bit different. All I had to purchase was six feet of NMB 6-3, more than enough to reach the panel. Happy campin....

Progressive Industries Model #EMS-HW30C in our old 5th wheel, really like it, it saved our beacon at least once when the outside connector plug fried ... 30 or 50 Amp electrical management system is a mist have for any camper depending what you have, don't leave home without one ...
Safe Travels

Let me just try pasting it. Why is it that it's such a pain to attach pictures to this site. The files are either too small or the links never work. How some people get these big pictures on here I will never know photos.app.goo.gl/ciio4rvQaGe851iO2Surge Guard

Apparently the toy haulers have a generator installed or at least wired for a generator. You have a transfer switch from Surge Guard that does much the same protection in addition to switching power between shore and generator. What gets me is why the cost is roughly the same when one has the the ability to switch power. Since many trailers are not prepped for a generator, no transfer switch is needed. The reason for not including surge protection is simply cost.

Lynnmor, I do have a 5500W Onan that came from the factory. No way I was buying one without one since most of my camping will be boondocking in the middle of nowhere. However, I didn't notice the surge guard until after I had gotten the rig home. I didn't figure such a surge protector would be included. I will most likely replace it with a upgraded progressive industries model at some point, but I hardly every expect to be in RV parks on hookups and I already have a fluke and a voltage tester, so I feel confident I can keep my rig protected pretty weel with what I have right now.
