We just purchased the Durango Gold G359RET 2016 and have a question about the grey holding tank. According to the specs there is a 97 gallon grey tank and yet during our orientation with the dealer they pointed out two drain valves for the grey tank (one in secure area by the black tank flush valve and the other outside underneath the rig on the driver's side by the first tire on that side). They said one valve is for the galley and the other for the bathroom sink/shower. Isn't it strange to have a drain valve that is not secured by a key entry. If the total grey capacity is 97 gals what is the capacity for the galley grey tank and the other grey tank? My indicator monitors shows only a fill level for 1 grey tank.

fdesantis10, If your tanks are like my Durango 2500 315RKD, the capacity totals are listed the same. My galley has a 40 gallon capacity and the shower/bathroom grey has a 57 gallon capacity = 97 gal. total. That is how mine is configured. I also have a rocker switch on the panel that switches the reading from one grey to the other. All three of my drain valve handles are on the outside, one black and grey midway on the coach and the other galley grey near the rear. Never have had an issue on any of the 5TH wheels I've owned. As long as the valves themselves are up inside it shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks for the information. I was wondering what a switch labeled as "main tank" was for on the monitoring panel. I assume the main tank refers to the galley tank. Thanks again. Happy motoring.

No, the main is the shower/bathroom sink. Just because it's larger I guess. Now, there is also an audible alarm system that monitors all tank levels and will start to squeal when one of them gets full. At least that's how mine is set up. Happy Camping....

OK thanks for the clarification. Yes I was aware of the alarm system.
