Hello all,
I picked up my trailer on April 25th and took it out for a "shake-down" last weekend. All went very well, and I was thinking it would be nice to have a ladder attached to the back of the trailer for performing roof inspections, or installing solar panels, and I am not sure if the frame on the C250BHS has the necessary backing or sub-frame to handle a ladder.
Has anyone added a ladder to the rear of their trailer? I am looking to have Camping World install it if it is OK to do so.
Any and all input is welcomed.
Thanks.

I bought my 232IKS connect last year and also wanted to add a ladder. I e-mailed KZ and asked if it could be done. They told me there wasn't backing for a ladder in my model. They didn't explain what was required, just that it wasn't there so I didn't pursue it any further. You might try contacting them. Good luck.

Tried contacting them and no response. . . . I guess I will just use a step ladder to get up and inspect the roof.

They're not real good at responding to questions. I bought a 16ft aluminum extension ladder from Walmart for $68.00. It is 8ft not extended and rides nicely on the back bumper in front of the spare tire. I mounted two 1" rubber pads at each end of the bumper with contact cement and bolted a piece of 1 1/2" pvc pipe(wood block would work just as well) to the tire mount so the ladder would ride upright and use three bungee cords to hold it in place. The ladder only weighs 18 pounds and extends to 13 usable feet. I cemented two rubber strips to the ladder where it lays against the trailer so it won't slide or damage the trailer. It's much more stable than a stepladder and very easy to unload and use. It's rated for 200lbs but it's a pretty solid little ladder. I feel better knowing I can get on the roof while away from home if for nothing more than to sweep the leaves, acorns and pine needles off the slide outs before I pull them in.
