I'm starting the process of purchasing a new Spree 240BHS, but I've heard a rumor that there's a backlog of 12-14 weeks for delivery due to a construction backlog at the factory. Any truth to this? If so, I guess this pretty much shuts me out of using it this summer. Perhaps I'd be better off waiting to purchase in the fall, once the factory has worked through its backlog and prices are likely to be a bit better?

Have you thought about buying one off the lot and adding things to it that you want/need?
I ordered mine in November (they said it was their slow time), and it took until February to get it.

I absolutely would do that...but there aren't any of this model for sale within probably 1000 miles of me.

Your local dealer can't get one?

My local dealer can get one...in 12-14 weeks (that they're blaming on factory delays). What I'm trying to figure out is if it's just an issue with this dealer, or if it's truly an issue with the factory?

Call the next closest dealer and ask them if they can get one.

When I was shopping for our MXT20 last year I was told by my "local" dealer it would take a minimum of 10 weeks to get one from the factory.

As a follow-up to this, I did place an order with a different dealer back on May 21, who at the time told me that it would be 6-8 weeks for delivery from the factory. Just got an update that construction should be finished at the factory on August 5, with delivery to the dealer sometime the following week. So, if I actually get the trailer that week (and there are no major items to fix requiring substantial additional delay), that would put me at 12 weeks from order to delivery. So much for using it much this summer...

I was told that they set up the line for a specific set of trailers and make a whole bunch of those. Then they'll re-set the line for a different set of trailers and make a bunch of those. So, depending on where your trailer fell in the line-up, I guess it could take awhile.
Maybe the first dealer gave you a better estimate of completion than the second dealer.
Sounds like you'll have it in time for a couple months of use.

That sounds about right ... RV business is very good right now. Low interest rates are allowing finance buyers access to cars, trucks, and RV's. All of these industries are running at max capacity ... for now.
