Hi! Does the exit window open? I couldn't get it open and wondered if it was stuck or built that way. Didn't want to bust it if it's only supposed to open in an emergency. Also, one of the screens popped out, any recommendations for popping it back in? I've been trying, but again, afraid of breaking anything since I just bought it! Thanks! Kelly

Hi, welcome. In my experience, the exit windows do open. I believe they are designed to lock in the up position so you don't have to worry about holding it in an emergency. I've never opened one to that point. You should definitely learn how to open it because you don't want to have to stop to figure it out if there's an emergency.
If your screens are like mine, there are clips attached to the screen. Simply press the screen into place and you'll hear the clips snap in.

Mine open, but they stick and are difficult to push open the first time. The rod that locks them in place and pushes them open, can also act as a brace to hold it open for air ventilation.

There are YouTube videos on the subject.

+ to what paroadking1 said I couldn't get mine to open either. While getting something else fixed at the factory I asked them to open them. Since it's been returned I've been able to open them - they're still tight, but manageable.

they stick....just have to give them a nice firm bump at the bottom with the side of your hand.
