I just purchased a 2014 E196S travel trailer. I can't seem to get more than 3 feet of the power cord out no matter what I try. Any suggestions?

I don't have a 196, but I am guessing that the cord is below the refrigerator. Is that correct? can you remove a panel inside to get to it? If you can open things up, perhaps you can find what is snagging the cord. It is not unusual for the cords to knot up behind that small opening. I installed a much larger hatch to solve the problem. Did you try twisting the cord one way, and if that didn't work, twist it the other? If you finally get the cord out, clean and dry it completely and then dust it with talcum powder. Here is what I did: Power Cord Mod

I had the same problem with my 30TH. The cord was wrapped around the junction box in the power cord compartment. My compartment is next to the stereo cabinet/ pantry. 2 screws remove a side panel to expose the cord compartment. I relocated the junction box to a side wall so the cord doesn't keep getting caught on it.

Thanks guys. A problem with power cord separation board stapled in place to contain the power cord in a small area. In short, board was stapled in and fell down causing cord to wrap around one of its corners and stop the power cord from being pulled out. Access was through the small "vent" hole. I've since also removed the power panel for more access. I'll figure out something to keep the separation board in place to contain the power cord from hitting the power panel.
