Has anyone here covered the shower walls in the spree escape 196s? I don't like the wallpaper walls in the shower, it seems they aren't going to stay waterproof very long? I am going to cover them with plastic wall panels that Home Depot sells.

I did. I used a 4x8 sheet of FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) Wall Panels that I picked up at Lowes. Just cut in half and fit the height. I fitted the edges with trim for a clean look. Works well and looks nice.

May be a stupid question but did you glue it up with anything special, or just luqiud nails?

I am using polystyrene sheets I bought at Home Depot they are 1/16 of and inch thick and are 4X8 foot. I removed the shower pan and the shower curtain track. I will try to finish it this week and then post pictures. I also beefed up the support under the shower pan I didn't like the spongy feeling when standing on it. I am glueing the panels up with Loctite tub and shower instant grab adhesive, and sealing it with GE 100% silicone sealant for tubs and showers.

I spoke to the company that makes the polystyrene and was told not to use it due to expansion and contraction issues, they said itr would pull itself off the walls. Sooooo I am now going with FRP. I hope to be cutting it today and maybe gluing it up by the weekend. This is such a pain the KZ should have put in a proper wall for the shower.

OK I finally finished the shower wall and took pictures, hope they come out ok here. I used FRP and used FRP cement to attach them to the walls. The FRP I used was 3/16ths thick so I tucked under the existing trim on the top and on the left side. On the right side I used the trim I bought with the FRP. I used two sheets of FRP because I went all the way from the ceiling to about 4 inches below the shower pan. It doesn't show in the pictures but I added an oxygenics shower head to it after. It wasn't very hard but it did take two people because I put it under the trim. OK I just ried to add the pictures and was tol the file is too big. If anyone has a way to add them let me know and I will.
