I have a 2012 Spree... Going to replace the battery this year.
What battery would be the best?
Do I need a battery cut off? If so why? Currently I do not have one.

Without knowing how you use your trailer, there is no way to say what is the best battery. If you always have electric hookups, almost any battery will be OK. You need to disconnect the battery whenever the trailer is not plugged into electric, or the tow vehicle, because there are loads that will slowly kill the battery. A disconnect switch is much simpler that removing a battery cable. Always keep the battery fully charged for longest life.

I use a deep cycle battery. But disconnect it and keep it on a trickle charger in my garage when not camping, I know it's extra work. But theft in my neiborhood is no so uncommon anymore so not taking any chances

I use two 6 V golf cart batteries wired in series. This lasts me close to 5 days. if I am not running the heater. three days if I am running the heater.
