My wife and I recently purchased a 2015 KZ-RV 16FKTH Toy Hauler but will not take delivery of it until mid-February as I am out of town working. We’ve been tent campers for years but got tired of driving separately to a campsite, her with a truck loaded down with camping gear and me on the motorcycle. We’re looking forward to some upcoming trips this year with our new toy hauler.
I’ve got a number of questions about the 16FKTH, some which could easily be answered if we had the trailer at home. I’m away from home working and the trailer is still at the dealer so It would be nice if someone can provide some info to my upcoming questions. I’m trying to order some things online to install on the trailer during the week I’m home before I have to leave again for my work.
My trailer experience is limited to two trips hauling a bike out west from NC on a small open utility trailer. I’ll be towing the 16FKTH with a 2015 F-150 with the 2.7 liter Ecoboost and factory tow package.
We plan on taking a couple of weekend trips to a nearby favorite campground to get used to the new trailer before traveling to Glacier, Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks in September. We’re looking forward to stopping at Custer Starte Park and checking out the annual buffalo round-up on the way home.
Would questions about working on the 16FKTH be better posted in the “Upgrades and Modifications” board or “Sportsmen” board as many questions I have are specific to this toy hauler?
