Wiped out a jack today backing the trailer down an incline into a new spot. I see 24" and 30" jacks on ebay. Is that the length measurement or the height measurement? I assumed it was the height until I measured the mangled one I have in the garage and it's 24" long so that threw me. I'm going to try to bend this one back straight but I think it's probably too far gone and they're pretty cheap to replace. I'm still not one to buy something if I don't need it though.....I just don't have much faith going in that this one is going to be saved.

I got it figured out I think.....place on ebay had collapsed measurements and a 24" collapsed is about 27" long from tip to tip of the screw which is what mine is. Now just gotta decide if I need the 7500 lb jacks or 5000lb jacks. My whole camper doesn't weight 10k so I'm thinking the 5k jacks would be fine. I don't raise it off the ground anyhow. I just take some of the spring out of the suspension and that's it.

I would think 5000lb would be plenty. You're not taking anywhere near the full weight of the trailer on any one jack.
