I have a 2016 365th triaxle. My truck is a 2014 RAM 3500. I am having trouble clearing the box with the pintail. The dealer has been great to work with and has made adjustments to the hitch. However now the front axle on the trailer is hardly touching the pavement. I have measured box heights on RAM, Chevrolet and Ford. They are all the same.

Hi 2517. It sounds like the entire camper needs raised on all axles. Does your pin box adjust downward or does your hitch adjust upward at all? Thoughts on lowering the truck?

I agree with johnr--if set up right the RV should sit level when hooked up to the truck. We had to get the axles flipped on our Montego Bay but when we got the Stoneridge it sat level from the factory when we hooked up to the truck from day one. After having raised the Montego Bay I would suggest to make that your last option.

The dealer mentioned raising the axle height However that raises the incline of the ramp. Ground clearance for the bike is an issue then. Plus the ramp is dangerous too. My friends have a raptor and a carbon toy hauler. Both of their pintail sit 8" higher. Kz flaw in their design?? I could see if the camper was old but it's a 2016.

Not only the ramp height but also the entrance step will be to high and overall RV height is also an issue. When I flipped the axle it put the Montego Bay up to 13'4" and 13'6" is the legal max height here in Pa. If you look at the picture of my Stoneridge then look at the picture of the Montego Bay you can see the height difference flipping the axles make. Just look at the front jacks--both RVs are parked at the same spot and both are sitting level

I just realized if you were talking about the pinbox hitting the side of your truck bed when you turn---they can put a shorter inbox on the RV and that will solve the problem. Another forum that doesn't exists any more had a thread about that problem and the KZ dealer replaced the factory pinbox with a shorter one and that solved his problem. The ony thing is that will move the 5er front a little more which could be a problem if you have a short bed truck.

Dealer did try a Morryde shorter pinbox. Yep cleared the bedrail but then my bumper (long box) hit the camper. Made several calls to kz. Won't return my call. Very frustrating for the dealer and I. The dealer has been excellent. It's kz that is not helpful

If I'm re-reading this correctly, something doesn't sound right. When you turn the pintail hits the bed of your truck, and if you use a shorter pinbox your bumper hits the camper? I've got an 8 foot bed and can hook up to my unit at an angle with the tailgate down and still not hit my 2013 Durango.
I've got to ask... are you sure the hitch is installed correctly?
What are you contacting KZ for? What are you expecting them to do? I'm confused.

Yes the hitch is installed correctly. It's a Reese that drop's down into the factory puck system on my 2014 RAM. The dealer made an adjustments to this. By making these adjustments the pintail now clears the bed. However now the front axle on the triaxle trailer has no weight on it because the front of the trailer sits to high. No other adjustments can be made. The trailer has a pintail height that would accommodate a 1/2 ton truck because of the lower sitting rear end. I did hook the trailer up to a 2004 Chevrolet 3/4 ton. It did clear that bed by a couple of inches. What do I want kz to do? Admit that this heavy 42' triaxle, 2016 trailer is not made to fit new trucks of today's standard bed height. Other trailers of the size/design ( big toy haulers) pintail sits about 8" higher than my trailer.

I think this goes back to flipping the axles. I had to do that on a Jayco I owned to get it to tow level.

Kz did return calls to start with. Once they realized I was right, they will no longer respond. Sad part is we really liked the trailer. We have one other problem too. Nthe bedroom slide out hits the bed when we bring it in. Sometimes this cause's the slide out to stop. We then have to go outside and push it in. When I told kz their response was that they currently do not have one of these models on the floor so until they do there is nothing they can do to help. How about coming and looking at mine? Guess customer is their R&D.

I've flipped the axles on older campers too. This is a 2016. Plus the ramp gate would then be too steep and not safe on a motorcycle. Obviously we are frustrated.
