I have a 2013 Spree 261 rks and was wondering if any one has combined the two gray water tanks together yet?? Your probably wondering why I would want to do that. Well let me tell you, we never fill or come even close to filling our galley, however, we always fill the other gray tank. We allso have a portable that works fine. Please let me know if anyone has tried that . If not, I will do it and get back with you all.

I just added drain caps, that have the garden hose fittings, so I can balance the water levels as needed. Remember that you need to level the frame if you add plumbing or use the garden hose method. If you forget and leave the tanks open to each other you will flood the lower one while traveling up and down hills.
I found that the two outlets presented less of an issue than I first thought it would be. When we have sewer, I connect a garden hose from the galley to the sewer drain fitting made with both 3" and garden hose connectors.

Wow Lynnmor, great tip! Thank you very much. I had no idea and probably would have found out the hard way as usual. I'm still in the brain storming stage thank gosh, and I'm looking at pros/cons. There's always that road to the dump station that is on an incline, and Ya, I could see that would be a problem. I may have questions for you later on this topic.

Interesting topic! I have a Spree 262 and we've only camped twice since owning it this Spring. I've experienced the same thing with the 2 gray tanks, one of which is only the kitchen sink but the other gray tank is for bathroom shower, etc and fills up much faster! Sorry, but I don't understand what you guys are thinking about connecting the gray tanks with a garden hose?
Also, dumb newbie question- do you know the dimensions (shape) of our 32 gallon tanks? I guess I have 2 x 32 gal gray tanks and 1 x 32 gal black tank so I assume they're all the same type? the reason I ask is when I look down into the toilet I can see a 'flat bottom' only about 6 inches down- is this actually the bottom of the black tank I'm seeing or is that some type of pipe that leads to the tank?
Thanks, Ken Rhode Island

Hey Poppachris, and other RV'ers,I did not combine the two tanks. Upon homework, further research, and talking with other RV'ers this is what I found out. Bottom line, not worth the trouble!! However, I did find someone who has combined the two tanks and said it works. He said he put two pvc ball cocks in, one under the sink and one under shower to keep water from flooding trailer when you go to move it when full. He said do not use trap doors they leak and don't seal. When I asked him would he combine two tanks again on another trailer he said no. He said it works for him and is glad he did it but, would not do it again. He said, what I found from a lot of RV'ers, which was to buy a 35gal. portable tank, or, drain in the middle of the night and camo the evidence, or, slowly drain while traveling. After all, Where dose soapy water go when you wash your car? It's only soapy water right! Be careful, you will face eviction and possible fines if caught. Badabing Badaboom!! Hope this helps!
