When leveling your travel trailer, is the slideout left in or out while checking with level?

First thing I do is install levels on the trailer that actually show an accurate reading of the trailer frame front to rear and side to side. I install a pair on opposite ends with the trailer frame perfectly level so that they can be depended on for actual information.
I level the trailer side to side using boards under the tires. Then I level front to rear using the tongue jack. Putting the slide out shouldn't change the level much, if it does then the trailer needs to be properly supported, possibly with a set of jacks in the middle.
You likely will get all kinds of answers with few of them addressing frame flexing and twisting.

Level side to side is what it is most times. If I am in a really nasty spot I may drive on the levelers, then deploy the slide out after. It will tilt a little to the slide out side, but no matter to me.

Get a LevelMate Pro and follow the directions. So quick and easy. Side to side level before you get out of the tow vehicle, if you got someone to put the Anderson type levelers under the low side tires for you. When you are done, the trailer will be level side to side and front to back with the slide out.
