We bought our Durango 333 in July of last year but due to life’s challenges didn’t get to take off on the road until early February. While we had spent several nights in it at home learning about how to live in it, this is the first Dora’s time we have had.
Our first issue was when we went to winterize and found that the control panel didn’t work right and also that the original water pump was bad. KZ step up and reimbursed us for the pump, but did not give us any warranty because we chose to do a workaround on the winterizing cycle of the control panel.
Just as we were getting ready to leave, we noticed that the decorative veneer above the stove was loose and they had to be packed on and glued like it should’ve been at first. also, a piece of trim on the main push out, was loose and had to be reglued.
As we used it, we kept finding little pieces and parts of sawdust, zip ties, screws, etc. that were left behind in the manufacturing process. this seemed an ominous sign of a lack of real quality control during the manufacturing process. Once we got into the warmer weather, the plastic trim that went under the bedroom, picking loose, and after being caught in the wind, was flapping up and down as we drove, and that had to be cut free that remains to be repaired after we return home.
As we have lived in it now for 10 days, we have become less impressed, and that we have noticed many bad fittings, joints that are not joined properly, wallpaper that has wrinkles and is not attached solidly to the countertops. Another numerous scattered minor issues.
The purpose of this is not to whine and moan but to let KZ know that we do notice and do care. I would encourage others who have these issues to let them know that management needs to get back down on the floor with the workers, and assure that their quality that they are known for gets back on track
