So, I recently purchased a 2023 K-Z Durango Half-Ton 290RLT and wanted to help reduce the movement in the trailer when camping. I've looked at a lot of products that claim to reduce movement. Some of them have helped and some not so much. I decided to purchase the MORryde X-Brace SP54-180 5th Wheel Stabilizer, but quickly realized that it would not work for my landing gear. No where on the site does it state that it wouldn't work. Only in the directions does it state that you are required to have 2 inches of exposed square tubing to attach the top bracket to. I'm only posting this to help others verify if their K-Z Durango HT has the required equipment to install this system prior to wasting their time and money. Obviously, I sent it back, but I'm losing 35 dollars for return shipping. I hope this helps someone.
Check you fifth wheel and make sure you have a minimum of 2 inches of the top square tubing sticking out below your frame to attach the top bracket of the MORryde X-Brace. MORryde gives you a second mounting option (see below), BUT if you have AUTO LEVELING, then you will not be able to place the bracket there due to putting the system in default mode when you attempt to retract the stabilizers and it connects with the lower bracket.
"If the landing gear has less than 2” of square rigid
tubing, then install the upper bracket below the
rigid square tube on the landing leg directly above
the snap pin using the U-Bolt spacers."

I have the D290RLT and bought the same stabilizer you did. You can make it work I use mine. The only thing you can't do is hit the retrac all button. You have to raise the landing gear and stop before it binds. It is a bit of a hassle but not a show stopper.

You have to raise the landing gear and stop before it binds. It is a bit of a hassle but not a show stopper. Yeah, I thought about doing that. The only thing is, if you accidently retract the landing gear too much or accidently press the retract all button, it throws the system into default mode. The only way to get it out of default mode (red blinking light) is to remove the lower brackets and hit the retract all button to reset the system (or so says the manual). I just didn't feel the headache was worth the trouble. I don't like having things I can't use fully or have to avoid doing it a certain way due to something I've added.

I'm not against drilling something into the frame, just saw that the MORryde system didn't require it so I thought I'd try it first. Now I know, haha! Wish I had just gone with the JT Strongarms first.
