Good day everyone! I have been a regular reader of the forum, learning about our KZ, but this is my first post. I need some advice on my breaker that feeds the converter on a 2020 Durango 366FBT. The circuit trips every couple of week or so while at home, major issue is that it is usually tripped after traveling when we are setting up, trying to get slides out. First thing I did was change the breaker, not the issue. So I bit the bullet and changed the converter, that wasn’t it either. The only item on the circuit is the converter. Any suggestions before I resort to the dealer, I’m in Louisiana and it’s a drive! I would appreciate any help you can offer.

Do you have a good, strong battery? A failing battery will load the converter more and also won't help much to get your slides out.

Yes, I believe the battery is good. When I first started having trouble last December, I replaced it and it did get a little better. At the time, the dealer said I may want to consider putting dual batteries which I did have years ago on a travel trailer, but none since then. Do many RVs have dual battery setups now?

I have dual batteries and mine tripped on me one-time. I think it happened when I either unplugged from shore power or plugged in at the next RV park. Hasn't happened since and that was back in June.

I’ve had mine trip once on my D250RES last year. I now use a surge protector everywhere we go. It has never done it since using it.

Do many RVs have dual battery setups now? The number and size of batteries depends on how much of a load you will put on them and for the length of time you will be camped without electric power. What matters in your issue is that the battery needs to be fully charged when operating slides and such. If you do not dry camp (camping without electric hookup), you only need one good battery.
