Upon further inspection of our 23 Sportsmen 231 we found construction debris in the heat vents, under the step leading to the bedroom and a lot of sawdust in the fuse box. Guess they don’t own a vacuum cleaner at the KZ factory and/or don’t take pride in their work? This is our 2nd and now our last KZ product. Former Sonic owner. Will not be recommending KZ to anyone. I will be sending my 90 year old mother to the factory to show them the correct way to clean! 6/26/23 Update. After a long weekend of camping we noticed some water under the sink. At first we thought it maybe water dripping from our hands as we reached for dish detergent or reached into our garbage can under the sink. Nope! The connection under the sink was not tightened properly. Can’t wait to see what else we find. Update 7/13/23I decided to remove the fridge vent cover on the roof after spotting an area not fully sealed by Dicor sealant. While removing cover I found that one of the screws to hold down the cover was a short wood screw (see pic) that did not pass through the roof vent cover to the attachment holes. The worker must have run out of the correct screws, put this one in and covered with sealant. After removing the cover I found two more places on the back side that had not been covered in Dicor. After finding other areas around roof sunlights and one vent not properly covered by Dicor I decided to cover with Dicor self-leveling and I resealed all the areas with RV Roof Magic. Pics below. Don’t take for granted that the factory did a good job. Would highly recommend that whether you buy a new or used RV, get on the roof and inspect it.

Yeah, my 22 Connect is pretty bad also. The wife had to get some sawdust out of my eye last night from the A/C vent.

When I was looking at all the different models they were all like that right on the showroom floor, it didn't matter what brand none of them cleaned up after themselves. I'm not defending KZ I think they all need a cleaning lesson and take some pride in their work

IIRC, Forest River actually had a statement in their owner's manual that said that "construction debris" UNDER the roof membrane was "normal". Excuse me?! They can't sweep or blow off the top of an RV before putting the membrane on and actually =own= the fact that they condone this at the factory?! Yep, just more "quality Amish craftsmanship" in action.

Don't think there is an RV made w/o debris left behind, maybe Space Craft.

X2 What Edd505 said. You should probably also blame your dealer for not even trying to get the debris out of duct work. A good detailing is part of the PDI.

The dealership, Rte 125 RV in NH, said they did an inspection of all systems before we picked it up. Guess they only fill the tanks and check water pump, a/c , heat etc. They would not pull fuse box cover off or unscrew vents (even though it was easy to spot). Although, they also missed the fact that our main living area heat vent had no air coming from it. It has either come disconnected or was never connected.
