It sounds like the fan not turning might be an issue but I'm not sure. Was it just when you checked or doesn't it run at all? Do you have a frig thermometer in there to accurately determine what temp it is at?
We found that ours takes much longer to cool down than the gas/electric one we had in our other camper. Really like the extra 2 cu ft. though. If we are leaving Friday, we turn it on Wed. night or early Thursday morning and load it Thursday night.
Once we got into a routine with the length of time it takes to cool down, we turned it back down from near 5 to 2.5 - 3 because it was freezing things on in the rear of the top shelf of the refrigerator. Always load it with cold items, or if you have to put warm things in, do that about 24 hours before you leave and keep it closed the whole time.
The biggest complaint we had was the little T handle that swings past the door to keep them closed. It doesn't! The first trip in our C261RB and we got to site, walked in and found the door open and a dent in the middle of the door from hitting the shelf under the TV. I made a wedge to put under the T that keeps the doors close now. Of course the shelf also prevented us from opening the door enough to be able to get the shelves out to change them around. Had to take the frig out of its cubby to do that. I added an On/Off switch while it was out since the only way to turn it off while the battery is on or its plugged in was to pull the fuse. Also had to take it out and re-enforce the frame around it because the frig slid around and was breaking the wood frame it's attached to.
Once we figure it out, it's not a bad frig. Just had to deal with the KZ design issues of how the installed it. I don't thing their designers ever actually use the trailer they design.

Years ago, I got one of those small cubical battery fans and keep that in the fridge. Put it on the bottom shelf and it really helps even out temps inside. There are other, slightly more extreme, mods, usually putting a computer fan on the cooling fins and tying it into the light wiring to power it. Anything to circulate the air inside and make it more even, helps.
