Hi All, new member, new owner of 181bh KZ Sportsman Classic 2021. I stored the battery over winter in our cellar, charging from time to time and now going to put back onto TT. It is located in back of propane tank, my Dad feels there is supposed to be a bracket or harness but there was not one when I removed it. I have the manual but it is vague and now I am second guessing how it looked when I did remove it this past fall. Thanks in advance.

Going to take a guess here, but typically the dealer installs the battery, and that's where things get variable. Usually dealers install the battery in a box that has a lid, there is a strap that holds down both the lid and box. Could also be the dealer just let the battery sit there or had a strap. If it was my coach, I would get a battery box or go back to the dealer and ask they supply one, as just tossing a battery on the rack isn't the right way to do things.

Mine is in a covered battery box and the tie down strap goes around the top of the battery box and around the metal brace that's on your A-frame underneath where the battery sits. I threw away the strap that came with the box since the buckle is a piece of plastic and it's difficult to get the strap tight enough. I instead purchased these longer tie down straps that have a SS cam buckle that tightens down really well. They're a little longer too so I just tie a loose knot too shorten it up. Yes, what they said. You should have a plastic battery box with a tie down strap around it and the rack it sits on. Weather won't hurt the battery any more than driving in the rain hurts your car battery. UV from sunshine might be a different issue if you don't have the battery box.
Mine has a couple of small vents in the cover to let hydrogen escape when the battery charges. I found the box half full of water after the first rain. Drill a couple 1/4" drain holes in the bottom of the box.
If you replace the tie down strap and want to cut it shorter, use a hot knife, soldering iron, or use a lighter to melt the cut ends to prevent fraying and unraveling later.
