Took less than an hour to do both of these. The thermostat took 5 minutes. I would like to give credit to KZ for not just using wire nuts but connectors for the thermostat wires. We bash them when they are cheap but this made changing the thermostat simple, unplug the wire to the original thermostat and plug in the new wire. Of course they could have spent the extra 20 bucks and put the digital one in from the factory. Th eother mod was a necessity as my Wife would fight with the door lock and it was just a matter of time before the key broke off in th elock. I added the Latch it Brand lock as it came with two remotes. They are only for the deadbolt but it makde my wife very happy to punch in numbers or just press a button to lock the door. Installation was pretty easy but if you do this a second person makes it much easier.

Thermostat was one of my first upgrades wire for wire change. Thinking about doing the bedroom too as the slides just not accurate in setting the temp and it's really slow to respond.
