We are looking seriously at the 381REF. I’m just curious if anyone who owns one has any comments about it. Pros and Cons and or options we should consider? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the KZ forum! Though I do not own a 381REF, I am a Durango owner and have been pleased with the overall build quality. I might consider upgrading the tires, axles, and brakes as many on this forum have already done, would definitely replace the mattress as the stock ones aren't that great, but for the most part, after you get it and use it for a while, you can make the modifications that work for you and your family. We chose to remove the king bed, cut down the platform and replace with a high quality queen mattress for the extra space it allows in the bedroom but many would prefer the king. We also replaced the stock pin box with a Reese Sidewinder, and will likely also add the step assist and handrail. Basically, make it yours!
Hope this helps. This is a great place to ask questions. There are many good people here with tons of experience that are very willing to share. I also haven't seen the attitude you find on some forums. And, if you look over the various forum topics you may find that many questions have already been answered. Here's to many new adventures in the days ahead!

I have a different model but love my Durango, I have had no major issues. I'm about 3/4 time during normal years so the RV has many miles, not just weekend use, it is used. I'm fortunate to live in year round camping SW, out now as I respond.
