Hello. Just ordered a 2021 Durango 348BHF. Anyone here used the JT Strong Arms for stabilization? Easy install? Which kit (regular or short)?
Any issues?
Thank you!

My coach came with what I believe is the regular kit. I can't comment on install issues, doesn't look to complicated. No issues over the last three years. A lot of stabilization hinges on minimizing extension of the various jacks, so use some blocks, either wood or the red Anderson "buckets".

Available most any where, even Wally world.

My 5th wheel came with JT Strong Arms. Used them on my first trip, thought they were pretty good. However, I almost screwed up as I started to lower without disabling them. Next camp out pulled in during a heavy rain storm. Just didn't' take to enable them. Well, guess what, the camper was really stable, even with 40 MPH winds the next day. I never ever even used them after that. I guess between the disaster not disconnecting them along with how stable the camper was I never used them again.

I made a set of DIY stabilizers, go from bottom of frame on one side to bottom of landing leg on the other. when we are traveling and one nighting it, I don't use them, we can tell the difference, have them on front and back.

Mine came standard on my 2017 Durango and I’ve used them faithfully ever since. I tighten them up when the fifth wheel is just below level. Then I raise the front of the camper a little and it takes away most of the movement. I can’t use one of those tripods hooked up to the pin box because I have a flexair pin box that has the air bags. I recommend them. JMO

By the way I use it in conjunction with either blocks of wood or lego blocks, which I have both.

All great points! Thank you. I am not going to buy these until I see how the camper does without anything installed. Thanks for the ideas!

If you read thought the different forms an treads about stabilizing a 5th wheel most all of us use some sort of blocks under stabilizer or leveling jacks... As well many of us agree the use of the tri-pod on the King pin is a waste of money an little to no effect is felt ... The more blocks under stabilizer or leveling jacks the better ... Also one has to remember your not living in a stick an mortar home as well, so you will get a little moment depending on the site you are on, cement, little give, gavel or dirt more give/movement ... If I am camping on gravel or dirt for any time at all I have wide plastic plates that I put under my leveling blocks to help spread the load... Safe Travels Chuck

My D277RLT came with them from the factory. Love them! Biggest issue is remembering to lock/unlock them before moving the jacks. :-) Lyle

Just having the auto-level system makes my rig much more stable than my old Komfort. Using the JTs makes it even more so. Lyle
