Stayed at a real nice state park this year on our way to our wintering place in Florida. It is Ross prairie trail head and campground. It is a Florida state park just west of Ocala. It has just 14 sites all pull thru with water and 50 amp electric. Pets are welcome. A dump station is available. The cost was $22.00 per night. The camp hosts were very accommodating and friendly. The days we spent there there were just 2 other campers both in class a's. The park is peaceful, quiet and clean. The park is set up mainly for horse exhibitions and horseback riding. There are horse grooming stations and a beautiful shower/bath house restroom facility. This park would make a good base camp for 3-5 days while you explore Ocala, Gainesville and all the beautiful horse country North Florida has to offer. You are also about 10 miles from one of the largest KZ DEALERS in the US.
