Just picked up our new Durango 1500 D259RDD and so far we love it. We needed a short (30ft) fifth wheel and ordered it in April. It is a 2019 model and we are excited to go "camping" in Wisconsin this summer.

Just picked up our new Durango 1500 D259RDD and so far we love it. We needed a short (30ft) fifth wheel and ordered it in April. It is a 2019 model and we are excited to go "camping" in Wisconsin this summer. We are just fixing to purchase the Durango 1500 286BHD 28ft and it only has one AC unit. I am worried about the whether the single AC can handle it or if I need to take the optional upgrade of the second AC. We are from AL and camp all over the south so cooling is something I want to get right. Any advice on your 2019 model would be appreciated. I hope you enjoyed your summer camping!

I am from the south (Texas) and a second ac is a definite requirement for me. I believe it would be a good thing to go ahead and get it. You would have 2 ac's when it is hot and would have one in case the other one went out. I wouldn't want a trailer with just one.
