My wife and I have been camping for many years. This year we traded in our popup for a new KZ 160rbt. We love this new camper and have been getting out camping more this year. But it seems that there has been an increase in drinking/partying at the state campgrounds in Upstate NY over the years. There doesn't seem to be anywhere to go where there is peace and quiet (or even just being able to sleep at night). The quiet hours don't seem to be enforced. Does anyone know of any place that isn't crazy loud all night in the Upstate NY area? Either public or private would be great (although the private campgrounds seem to be worse in my experience).
Thanks, Greg

If you want a no frills campground...no hookups....I don't think you can beat Fish Creek Pond (it is one of the government parks) in the Adirondacks. Almost every site is on the "pond"...small lake. Absolutely beautiful and quiet....we were there in September, can't say how it is in the summer.
