Having the satellite come as a standard feature now that you can't use an antenna to get t.v. One that's built is and all you have to do is turn it to position it. No lifting, no fussing, no kids driving you crazy

As long as you have an HDTV a Standard antenna will work fine.
The issue was that broadcasters no longer broadcast standard definition shows, so only HDTV's can now pick up the signal.

Any TV will work fine on an antenna. If you have an old analog TV, just get a converter box. The Gummint gave away millions of them and now you can find them at yard sales for a few dollars.

Have lots of trees here in Missouri. We purchased a Tailgater Satellite and Dish Network HDTV. Have had no problems since we can set the Tailgater where there is clear sky. I put a 1/8" cable through the metal slot on the Tailgater and lock it to my camper bumper. Have always had good reception any where we go. Hear people at all camp grounds upset at their fixed satellites tree bound and no reception.

We have the best of both worlds. When we ordered our new Durango, we had the Winegard Travler put on. We always used to use a tripod and dish, so I take that with us just in case of trees or other obstacles. Love just having to push a button and bingo, TV is up and working.

Just thinking about buying. Saw a unit in Morehead City, NC yesterday. I am impressed. Wondering how my 2008 Chevy Trailblazer would pull anything under 6000lbs.? Anyone have a similar set-up to help me judge this with? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

FWIW, we got our dealer to bypass the TV power booster antennae thing (pretty sure that's the technical name, lol) so our Tailgater satellite just plugs into the existing coax input on the outside. Works like a charm. Just set Tailgater out, connect to camper and it's on.

If you call the manufacturer and give them your VIN number they should be able to provide what the original order had on it.
