I was on the roof today to clean the vent covers. While there I ask my wife to bring me a tool I had forgot, she climbed the latter and saw a loose screw on the rain gutter. I went along and checked them all and found the drivers side all loose from1/2 turn to 3 turns. The passenger side was all OK so maybe two sides of the assembly line and one guy not so good? We all know to check the seals and seams but loose screws had not been on my list of things to check until today. chuck on here had the floors in all his slides go bad with water damage even with the forever warranty and being checked annually. Not saying this was the issue but it could be a source of water intrusion.

I had found some of the gutter screws loose mine. I removed the screws and glued in some tooth picks then reinserted the screws. I forced some butyl rubber into the holes first, then covered the screw heads with more butyl. If you can pull the gutter away from the side, you can also force some under the gutter.

Gutter is actually caulked and that looks good, just the loose screws. Next time up I ll take some tooth picks and a small tube of caulk , use it one the screws and cover the screw heads. Cold and raining today. This is the RGV and it's supposed to be warm.

That will make the screws seat better and help seal the holes.
