There are 3 cover plates that look like AC one's on each of the main slides. The dinette slide has a outlet that we use for our computers. The only other "usable" outlets are in the kitchen and there are only 2. The 2 couch slide outs have those cover plates, are these able to be used for electric outlets or are they just access holes? I took one off, but could not get an electric signal from my tester as there are wires behind the plate.
Has anyone added AC outlets? We'd like to add one for our printer where our dog crates are as there's room there for it. (We took one of the couches out, and put 3 dog crates there for our dogs when we camp)

What you probably found is junction boxes for the 12V lights in the slide. Routing 110 V wiring so it is protected during slide movement can be tricky, so that's why don't see 110V in most slides. We just ran an extension cord from the outlets to our recliners (for laptop recharge). Yes, it is a pain to unplug the cord and stow it out the way when moving the slide, but overall I bet spend less time dealing with the cord than installing a 110V circuit for a slide.

I have done exactly the same thing, run and extension from the dinning area to the love seat.

I found an unused receptacle behind the television in our unit and used an extension cord to make it more convenient.

You can also add one of the outlet multiples, I have one that uses the 2 and makes it a 6. We don't use all 6 at once, toaster, Keurig, mixer, with open for crock pot or pressure cooker.
