Noticing that the lower part of the door is coming apart from its framing material. It's almost like the door hinges are so stiff on the frame itself that the thinner surround of the door itself where the hinges mount is being pulled out. Anyone experience / know how to fix this?

I have heard this mentioned on other RV forums, it seems you are right- the friction hinges are to tight. One fix I remember was to lube the hinges to free them up. If it was me, I would just lube one hinge and see how well that works. You could also try contacting Lippert to see what their recommended fix is.

There are a number of YouTube videos showing how to replace the friction hinges with standard ones.

Thank you. Will try some lubricant. I suspect I will need to replace the screws on the lower part of the door now as well. They are pulled from whatever they were grabbing inside the body of the door.
