I have a 2021 KZ Connect C241RLK travel trailer our first long trip had a blowout I put on the spare and then drove home 400 miles decided to upgrade to new tires. Discovered excessive wear on the inside of the front passenger side tire which is the one that I had the blowout. Here’s a photo do I have a bad axle, not exactly sure what’s causing it .

Definitely a bent axle. If the other tire on same axle is good you bent it near the drum. I bent an axle on my other camper somehow on a long trip. Both rear tires were wearing on the inside tread but nowhere near as bad as yours.

Yep, as already mentioned, if this is the only tire with excessive wear, the axle is definitely bent.

We had the same issue on our first major 1,500 mile trip. I have an appointment next week at local dealer to have them check it out. A KZ dealer in New Mexico replaced the leaf spring on rear passenger side under warranty, but it made the problem worse and now our tires look like yours. Fortunately we made it back from Colorado to Tennessee. We noticed a tilt to the tires initially which is why we went to KZ dealer in New Mexico (1,400 miles into the trip!!!!) There was no noticeable wear marks at that time.... by the time we made it to WEST Tennessee there was tire wear showing which was after the repair!!
We are almost at our 2 year warranty mark too... I believe we picked up the RV in July 2020 !!!
And I am 99% sure we were under weight. We didn't have much in the RV, and because we thought we might have an axle problem we were moving campsites with only 5-10 gallons in the fresh tank and ZERO in the gray and black tanks. BTW CONNECT RB261 with gray tank in front, and gray and black in the rear. Fresh water tank is in the front. It was the rear axle and both rear most tires show the wear marks only on the inner most tread

If you really want the axles fixed, skip the RV dealer and either do your own work or have a heavy duty truck/trailer shop do the work. They will have the alignment equipment and the skills to do it right. I would upgrade the axle tubing size or thickness, the factory axles are marginal at best. BTDT

First question he asked was did we sell it to you ....................

Yes, KZ Dealer in Roswell NM. We found them by going to KZ website and putting in the zip code It was this place. And Dave was our contact, not sure if he owns or works there but he was fantastic to work with. Unfortunately it didn't stay fixed.... If we are still under warranty I will have KZ repair. But if not under warranty, upgrading the axles at a Truck trailer place or something similar will be an option I consider. The axles are clearly undersized, and the springs too as even at completely empty they are pressed flat, and hardly bowed at all Main Trailer Sales 2900 W 2nd Street Roswell, NM, 88201 Telephone: 575-622-1751 FAX: 575-622-9975 Website: www.maintrailersalesinc.comEmail: dave@maintrailersalesinc.com

So step one is already on day two... KZ didn't seem to have record of our purchase for the warranty repair, which at the moment they think may be a bearing problem and not an axel problem but the won't know for sure until they get approval from KZ to proceed. I had to scan and e-mail them the sales receipt from the dealer we purchased from We bought when we lived in a different state, so bringing it back to the original dealer would have been an 800 mile trip!!! Hopefully things will proceed. The other thing they thought it could be was the spindles. They won't know that either until KZ approves the work to proceed. If KZ denies it then I have to pay for it all and allow they to proceed. My purchase date was September 11, 2020, so well within the 2-year "ALL INCLUSIVE BUMPER TO HITCH" warranty.... except for the fine print which I expect to hear about

Still waiting on an update from our local KZ dealer. There have been delays because the repair representative assigned to my case quit. Apparently it's tough to keep staff even in the wonderful state of Tennessee. They called me today but haven't been able to reach them in the two times I have called back. If it was good news they would have left voice mail.... so expecting there is some fine print that says Bumper to Bumper Warranty, except for what you need..... hopefully I'm wrong, and will update here once I know for sure....

I did get an update from the dealer about a week later... bent axle and KZ is covering under warranty. However I don't know if labor is in that warranty or if I will need to pay for labor. And it's to be 4-5 weeks until the axle comes in.... well we are at 4 weeks and no axle yet. I also asked if KZ will comp me for the destroyed two tires. The service manager said they will ask about that next. No update on that... half of summer gone... Fortunately camping season here goes to about November 1, unless we go to Florida to extend it to December.

August 8th update... some good news some bad news... The good news, since it was an axel failure, KZ agreed to replace both tires under warranty... However the entirely new axel and the new tires... have not arrived. Order was authorized and placed June 28th .... and still no update when it might arrive....

It appears that Eastern Marine has axles in stock. Have you figured out that the warranty is nearly useless?

August 10th update - after calling KZ Service they informed me the shipment has been bundled and gave me a tracking number. Unfortunately we missed the latest pickup.... it doesn't show yet in the CEVA www.cevalogistics.com/en/ceva-trak system yet. Hopefully next pickup is in 7 days or less. And hopefully the second tire arrives quickly. The RV dealer neglected to order 2 even though warranty approved order of two, the Service manager missed hitting "2". And after talking to them I know why. The first Service Manager at the dealer I spoke with was new to the job and had only been there 2 weeks upon my arrival. He quit in the 4th week. The next service manager was more experienced and had been there over 15 years... he decided to retire. Speaking to the 3rd Service manager I found out there was a 2.5 version service manager there but he only made it 3 days before he quit. The world of employment, supply chains, etc are seriously messed up!!! Hoping to get a September camping trip in.... as I doubt August will be in the cards..... And the Warranty ends in September of this year, so if the front axle is messed up.... that one will cost me..... RVing is AWESOME when everything works, and terrible when everything else (xhix) happens....

I think I carry enough tools ect to rebuild it on the road IF I can find a source for the supplies. I think the biggest job to date was the washer/dryer install near Dallas when I live in NM, I did have to buy a 4" hole saw for the vent.

I finally got the RV back September 16th. I can see a significant difference in the appearance with all 4 tires. the failed axel was clearly a problem since the day we picked it up over 2 years ago. UGH!!! and we basically lost the entire camping season. Good thing we did get the long spring trip in. Now I have two 2 year old tires and 2 brand new tires. And a new axel and all new hub assemblies which apparently also had problems. Well there's always 2023... or perhaps a winter trip to Florida or Texas.

I had bad axles and messed with the worthless dealer for a couple of weeks. Then I bought new better ones and installed them myself seeing how a warranty is useless. Why on earth one would accept two years downtime is beyond me.
