Truck has less than 5K miles. Now granted the trip was only an hour and not a constant speed for very long but I just thought it would have been better. My 2003 6.0 powerstroke was getting as good as this thing towing. Hopefully it will improve with age. I sure can't complain about the power and torque though!!!

Not even close to being broken in. :-) As I said, I noticed a definite increase in mileage at around 40-50k miles. I'm pretty picky when it comes to keeping track of mileage but, sadly, all my early records were lost when my old Palm crapped out on me and my backup was corrupted by a later HDD crash. Lyle

Man that stinks for your Brother, nothing worse than a failure on the road. While I am a Ford fan, I had an '05 6L. Traded it off before the warranty expired. Not one of Ford's (actually International) best efforts. See, if Ford had been smart enough to have John Deere build them an engine, it'd still be running. :-) Lyle I have a 6.0 with 175K on it, bullet proofed which runs just fine an has made it back an forth across the country three times so far ....
If ford had put a JD engine in their trucks all you would hear going done the road would be POP, POP, POP, POP an have to have a big wheel on the side of the engine to start the engine (Big Grin), jut remember RED is RIGHT (Snicker)

But "Nothing Runs Like a Deere"! :-) With a '35 BN, '36 A and '72 4020 Power Shift in our "stable", they =do= last. Added an 80's vintage 5205 and dumped the 70's 1020. Lyle
