Today I finished bypassing the One Control switches for my hall, kitchen, and living room lights with plain old switches. I personally like having the slides, awning, awning lights, water heater, pump, etc. on the One Control panel and app but when I wake up in the morning or during the night, I just want to be able to turn on a switch. Don’t want to fumble with a phone or tablet. I couldn’t fish wire through the hall wall to place the switches where I wanted them so ended up using surface conduit. Here are some pictures.

Nice job, and makes perfect sense, who wants to boot up a tablet to just turn some lights on?

Nice job, and makes perfect sense, who wants to boot up a tablet to just turn some lights on? Especially first thing in the morning... all I want is to see to start the coffee! 😁 Jay

This is something my wife would prefer. Could you not splice the selected wire from the touch pad and run it through a switch? You would leave the one control panel switches on, no? For us it would be the main lights and the hall light on a D250RES. I just got my camper and with two year warranty I don’t want to touch it yet.

Yes, and I thought about doing that but rather than have 2 switch points I opted to bypass the One Control for those 3 lights only. I get the warranty aspect as I still have 15 months of my 2 year warranty remaining. Btw, the switches come in single, double, triple, or quad from Amazon and run between 10 and 20 bucks depending upon which you choose. So it’s also a cheap fix. Jay

Jay My cousin's husband =really= loved his labels and kept a Brother PTouch on board their 64' Skipperiner house boat. Everything was labeled, from the bridge to each and every cabinet, with inventory of what was supposed to be there. :-) Lyle

KZ, in their infinite wisdom, used cheap light fixtures over the sink and in the toilet room, where the switch is =on= the fixture. DW, at 5'4" can =just= reach them but the littles, at almost 6 and 3.5 years old, simply can't so have to wake us up if they need to use the bathroom. It's either that, or use a battery-powered night light that's left on all night, annoying everyone. Just f'n =stupid=; almost as stupid as those steps everyone's using. Lyle
