On our last trip out in our Spree Escape E160RBT (2021) the front left stabilizer jack got damaged by a low tree stump that I didn’t see while I was trying to maneuver into our site. It still went up and down after being damaged, but it’s been bugging me since then. So we took it off, and the thing was pretty bent up and not usable. I found a replacement at our local dealer, and installed it today. I looked high and low online for the same thing that was on our camper, but no dice. The sticker has no brand name, and says 3,000 lbs. That seems to be unobtainium online, the range of RV scissor jack stabilizers being 5,000; 7,500; or more lbs. so I found one that is rated for 5,000 lbs. at our local dealer and has the same shaped brackets, hoping to be able to use the existing holes in the frame to mount it. Introducing the Camco Eaz Lift scissor jack. 24” is the same size as the original stabilizer. However, this is a beast compared with the original, weighing in at close to twice the weight and made of much heavier steel. The mounting screws that came with the Eaz Lift are pretty much twice the diameter as the originals, so I had to drill out the holes in the camper frame using a 11/32 drill bit per the instructions. That went pretty well. The holes in the new brackets do not align *exactly* with the existing holes in the frame, but they were close enough to not have to drill new holes. The new bolts went in with the help of some brute force and a socket wrench, and that stabilizer is up there for the duration.

If the cost isn't prohibitive, why not replace the other 3?

If the cost isn't prohibitive, why not replace the other 3? Lyle The replacement stabilizer jack was $70, so it's certainly not a big deal to replace all of them. But the other 3 are undamaged, and work as they should. Not fixing what isn't broken.
