We tried to purchase a new 2021 Durango 326RLT. However, the dealer wouldn’t budge. Couldn’t find one any closer. I was willing to drive 7 hours to upper Maine but they screwed around with me by messing around with the numbers. Needless to say my 2017 is up for sale due to the fact that we bought a new 2021 Montana that’s only a half hour from our home in Connecticut. Did a ton of research and this dealership gave us a great deal. They want mine for a trade but allowed me two weeks to sell it on my own, which we are in the process of doing now. You all have been terrific with your guidance and advice through my last four years owning my Durango. Safe travels to you all. I hope our experience with the new rig will be as smooth as it was with my Durango. Thanks to you all again.

Unfortunately, dealers are in the driver's seat right now, due to the low inventories and long delivery times, so they can r@pe their customers. Sorry to hear that you're leaving the KZ fold and hope your Montana works well for you. We pretty well know that KZ management really doesn't care much any more, especially as they know there's another su... er, customer just waiting to buy their stuff. Pretty much par for the entire industry, these days, though. The fact that the manufactures exercise virtually zero control over dealers is another weakness. Lyle

Might look at the Montana Forum, seems every manufacture forum has plenty of complaints, large & small. Hope you get a trouble free Montana and Happy Camping.

Our choice was narrowed down to the Durango 333RLT and the Montana High Country 330RL. They're almost identical floorplans. Honestly, the differences were the dealer and the warranty. Our oldest son has a Montana as do several of our friends and they're good rigs. Like all other brands, some have their issues, but they have a good reputation. Anyway, congrats on the new rig! Hope you get many trouble-free years of enjoyment out of it.

Congrats on your new rig. I jumped ship from another forum and joined this one last week when I bought my 2021 Durango D250RES.
Happy camping!

You don't have to leave the forum. I'm still active on the Forest River Forum even though our Forest River 5er went away last August.

I have looked at Montana's allot, we looked at them before buying the Durango G384RLT, they are owned by the same parent company as Kz an you see allot of the same design one to the other in both brands ... Safe Travels Chuck That was one thing I noticed when I started shopping to replace our Komfort. "Form follows function" is a truism and the RV industry shows it, big time. Not only between the brands of the same parent company, but =across= parent company brands. The one company I noticed that seems to differ significantly from all other brands, is probably Northwoods. Yes, there are similarities, but not to the extent of most other brands. Lyle

I can tell you if you look close you will see the same sink's, shower's, frig's, even in some case's dinning room chairs an tables along with theater seating... LCI seems to now own most of the companies that provide such except for the frig's....

I have friends with every different brand.... and I hear almost the same thing from everyone... poor quality control, poor dealer support, long lines or waits to get things fixed that you can't fix yourself. I try to fix as much as I can myself, and in general assume the warranty will only be for very serious issues. Hope you are happy with your purchase. you have experience with RV's so you know there will be problems, and you will overcome them with time. Best of luck

Oh, and LCI has their own forums, I belong to the one on FACEBOOK (search for LIPPERT) I don't know if they have a similar web forum like KZ has. If they do, I'd join that too for component level support

Thought I’d be leaving you all but that’s not happening. Even though I’m a Montana owner now I still come back here for all the guidance you have given me for past four years. We know these rigs are basically all the same parts wise. No major problems yet with the new rig. Couple moldings came loose. Easily fixed and expected. Other than that everything has been smooth so far. Knock on wood. Montana owners club doesn’t seem to have the same ease as this forum. I’ll be poking around.

Just when you thought you were out- we drag you back in... Regardless of the brand, we RVers are a big family. And yes, this forum is one of the best, no wise guy attitude or internet keyboard commandos here.
