2018 Connect original owners. We came precariously close to losing the black tank yesterday. We drove from North Texas to the Ozarks and somewhere along the way on rather bumpy road (we were not going fast) the black tank partially came loose from its mounting. We strapped it to the RV (with a rope and ratchet strap) for the trip home today so it wouldn’t fall out. Larry (husband) will tear out the underbelly when we get home and make necessary repairs. Anyone else have this issue?

Good thing you caught it before it came all they way out. I suspect a strap broke letting it come down. Have him take a picture of what happened and his repair. Might help someone else in the future, sharing here we all learn.

I may have the same problem on my 2018 241RLK. If you have time let me know what you found. Thanks,
I noticed it while Set up at the camp ground after dumping/flushing the tanks
The under belly was dropped down enough to see the insulation. Same fix to get home - ratchet straps. Any tips on the repair would be appreciated.
I do not see any seam on the plastic underlayment so I guess I will have to cut it to get access. What type of tape has anyone used to reseal the plastic?
I can hear a tinny sound when pushing up on the underlayment so I am guessing a loose/broken strap.

In the mean time I discovered Tyvek Tape and have some under my RV now, sticks great, plastic so water proof. Tip: get it where you want it the first time, you won't pull it off, scissors to cut and bend an tape end over or you'll fight to get a free end. Tape

Repaired the loose Tank today. Turns out it was the grey water tank.
The Investigation: Cutting the coroplast with a box cutter was simple. Removing the 7 screws holding the coroplast to the undercarriage with a 5/16th socket in a cordless drill was even easier. Upon lowering the coroplast it was obvious why the tank has dropped. There are 6 plates 3 in front and 3 in back of the tank that hold the tank to the wood frame. 2 of front 3 plates were laying on top of the insulation. The third was very loose. 1 of the back 3 plates was also laying on the insulation, the second was loose but still in place. Each of the plates was secured by a single 1/4 X 1 1/2 inch in self tapping screw.
The Fix: Replace the factory screw with a 5/16 X 1 1/2 lag screw. Each plate had to have the hole enlarged to accommodate the larger screw. Reinstall the factory screw into the second hole in each plate. Now there are 2 screws holding each plate. Reinstall the coroplast and tape up the seam with gorilla Tape.
The 6 5/16 X 1 1/2 inch screws cost 69 cents at the local hardware store. A roll of 2 1/8 in gorilla tape was 9.99. plus tax total cost was $11.61. Why the factory chose to use on a single screw in each plate is beyond me. I hope the two screws will do the job. Time will tell. Now I am wondering about the other tanks?? I want to change the pickup location of the fresh water tank so I guess I will get to see how it is held in when I do that.
Sorry no pictures were taken.
