Does anyone have any literature or owner's manuals for the NXG Slide system used on KZ Connect trailers? Our's has one of these slides, but there was no literature on the slide mechanism itself or how to maintain it or any info about it at all.
I thought maybe others here have already looked into this or if this thread uncovers any literature on it, maybe others would find it of interest.
Thanks.

Thanks, Edd. I did see that picture on their website. Instinctively, I have to imagine that there is more to it than that. I was hoping to find something with more technical details and drawings. I can't even find any info on manual operation, just in case that should ever become necessary.
This is my first RV so all of this stuff is new to me.
Thanks.

Make sure you use a "dry" lube to avoid attracting any more dirt than you need to. Just looking at that drawing, there's 2 ends to the cross-shaft. I'd ass-u-me that one end would have the motor and the other end would be "open". You could simply put a wrench on that open end to crank the slide in/out. Only downside would be if that's a square shaft, and not hex. I know that my old Komfort used a hex shaft and, if needed, I could have used a ratchet and socket to move it. I'm ashamed to admit that I'm not sure what my KZ has, only that 2 of the 3 slides are Schwinteks. Lyle

Not really a lot more to the slide, just as Lyle said, use dry lube to keep the dirt out of the rails. As far as moving the slide room manually, you're probably going to have to slide under there to see just what is at the end of the cross shaft. Better now than in a remote campground.

Thanks much, gents! I'll crawl under there and have a look-see next time I can pull the trailer out and open the slide. It might be much less complicated than I think it is in my head. I suppose I just don't want to turn the wrong screw and have the whole room fall down on top of me (LOL). Dry lube? Do you mean like something like this?

FWIW, my old Komfort had an old-school rack 'n pinion slide system and the manual said to keep it clean, but to NOT use any lube on it at all. So, I never did. :-) Never even squealed or rattled too much. Lyle

All kidding aside, back then there seemed to be a lot of differing thoughts, in fact IIRR Kwicke made a spray specifically for slide out rails / racks. It dried into a waxy lube that worked pretty well.
