Has anyone had their fresh holding tank freeze on them? I run the propane furnace, keep the RV at about 72 and my fresh tank is apparently frozen. I also had my hot water line freeze too. Im guessing that heated and enclosed underbelly doesnt actually mean what it says from this experience.

I am unhooked from city water and running from my fresh water tank right now. I had the furnace on as well as the fireplace and a space heater. Mine froze for a while the other day but once the outside temps got around 30 to 32 it was no longer frozen. Mine is a Durango Gold. Hopefully I can get back to city water on Saturday.

I filled it about 2/3 according to the sensor in anticipation of the snowpocalypse, and it froze. Our city water is back now, but I figured I would see if anyone else ran into that issue.

The underbelly is usually not heated very well, the supply ducts are few and located poorly. The covering has many air leaks and plumbing may be close to outside air. I suspect that you have a hose frozen and the tank might be OK.

The hose was fine, when the city water was working, we had water, I filled the tank assuming the city would cut out. Hose is heated, so it didn't freeze. I got it all thawed, I just didn't expect the temps to be capable of freezing a 28 gallon tank! I am suspecting that the duct that is supposed to blow onto the tank isn't attached properly, if it's even there. I will give credit where it's due though, I haven't been cold at all in this whole crazy storm! The underbelly is usually not heated very well, the supply ducts are few and located poorly. To be clear, a hose connects the tank to the water pump and that was what I thought the problem might have been.
Connecting an outside hose to a hydrant might cause the freeze proof hydrant to freeze, those hydrants drain the water back down when turned off and the hose is disconnected.

You might want to check the ducting at the heater, I found mine off and a couple not completely on. I got them on fully and tapped them with aluminum tape to seal. We have just gone trough just over a week of teens nights warming to 30-40 days and no water freezing.

I found the issue. The feeder line that goes into the tank is what was frozen. The tank still had moving water, but the few inches of pipe that was in the tank had apparently frozen.
