i have a 2019 KZ connect 24 ft. I noticed the running lights across the back as well as the right tail light and right rear corner clearance light are dimly glowing when connected to shore power. All work normally when connected to tow vehicle. when voltage testing the 7 prong plug on the trailer, I get 12 volts on several prongs. Suggestions?
thanks for your replies. I went back with my multi meter for more testing. When the lights were on last weekend, I disconnects the green wire in the junction box to turn off the lights. I went back to today as the whether is better, reconnected the wires and the lights are no longer on. The plug head some water in it last week. I guess it dried out as there is no longer an issue. The 7 prong is now covered away from rain. Thanks again

Sounds as if you have a shorted wire in your electrical system touching you trailer lights, I would take a Volt Ohm meter an check to see that you do not have a short to your frame or you frame is what they call hot !!!!
Then as Edd post check your trailer plug 1st to make sure that is correct, next check electrical panel to make sure a wire for your
lights is not touching the main power circuit ...
You definitely have a shorted wire someplace in the main wiring an you need to find it before you overheat your wiring an that spells disaster ie a fire !!!!
If you can't find it call your dealer an state that you have an unsafe trailer do to shorted wiring or better yet just appear on the dealers door step as state the same thing ... If they give you guff ask them if they would like to camp in the trailer over night with shorted wiring on a 50amp circuit Ugh !!!!
Only my two cents

What's concerning here is this happens when on shore power. So there may be what's known as hot skin condition-so be very careful here. When your coach is on shore power you or anyone who happens to touch a metal part of your coach while standing on the ground may receive a dangerous shock. If you are not comfortable with or know how to work with electricity- take the coach to a dealer / RV shop or an electrician who understands how RVs are wired. I suspect a hot skin condition because the only common connection (aside from the converter & that's a long shot) between the 12V lights and the shore power side (120V) is both are grounded to the frame.
Once the possibility of hot skin is either fixed or proven to not be an issue then here is some other things & background issues to check out.
Usually when 12V lights are on without being switched on, it indicates a loose/ bad ground- known as a backfeed. There should only be one terminal in the 7 way that should show voltage when unplugged - and that's the battery charge line. First thing to check is the junction box where the 7 way cord is connected, from there its chasing wiring.

I thought about the hot skin but thought that they may have had fiberglass outside skin, but still I believe anything metal like the fame, bumpers an the like could give you a pretty good shock Ugh !!!!
