Today was the day we covered our camper. The cover was $425 from Budge Covers. It took 4 of us (including two on ladders), about 45 minutes to get it on, and straight, and tied up. No instructions came with it, so I hope we got it right. Could also be one size too long. Happily there is a tag sewn onto the front hem that says “Front”, otherwise it would have been an all day affair. Seems heavy and well enough made (in China, of course 😢 ) but time will tell.

smkranz Wow what a project, looks good to me, I thought about getting a cover for out 5th wheel a few years back since it rains allot were we live but the I seen other post or how ruff a time owners have putting such on I told myself no way ... I also have read where if not put on right the wind gets under them an beats the dickens out if the sides of the trailers an thus you have ware marks on the side of the trailer ... But the way you have your wrapped I see no way that might happen I really, really admire the extra effort you put in to keep you trailer looking like new !!!
Great Job
Safe Travels

Thanks Chuck. Since it’s a brand new camper and is parked under a tree that drops sap, leaves and twigs, we decided to go the cover route.
After we got it on, I asked the assembled crew (my wife and I, and the friends who let us park our camper on their property) if they wanted to take it off, and reinstall it for the purpose of making an instructional video. The vote was 3-1 against. 😬

Even thought we do have 100 to 150ft trees all around us we have none on our lot ... Out 5th wheel stands 13ft 4 inches to the top of the air conditioners so roof is 12ft height an there is no way I could even think of putting a cover over ours ... So it sits out in the rain, I do wash an wax it twice a year an my son wash's the roof otherwise I have to pay someone to do such ... DW screams at me when she see's me on a 8ft ladder trying to wax the sides of the trailer Ugh !!!
Stay safe an warm

As Chuck said, I hope they were paid well! Great job and congrats on the new camper! Jay
