So we are looking to take a Sept. - Oct. trip to New England. Starting in upstate NY, going across central Vermont, New Hampshire and into central Maine. Then down along the coast and down to Massachusetts, Road Island and Connecticut before heading home to Virginia. Besides the great suggestions in this thread already, does anyone have any other good campgrounds to use as jumping off points along the way? jfspry58 how did your trip go?

Unfortunately we did not get to go. My wife started having some major health issues late in the summer so we’ve been anchored pretty close to her doctors. Hoping to try again next fall. Jay

Sorry to hear that. Hope she recovers quickly and you make the trip this fall. Might see you along the way.

We went this summer. In Maine we stayed at Moorings in Belfast, right on the bay. Super clean park. Site #1 gives you a great bay front view. We also did the KOA in Augusta, decent, new owners were trying to improve it. KOA at Mystic Ct, was very clean and well maintained. Saw some beautiful parks in Lake George NY and stayed at the Dairy Barn in Wilson NY, about 20 minutes from Niagara Falls. Hope these help Kirt
