We use our oven for storage. And I don't expect that we would ever use it. We custom ordered our Connect C261RB, so that would actually be an option we would leave off. And we would probably get rid of propane range and put in Induction Cooktop. We may make this customization ourselves but we haven't decided.
We actually use a portable Induction Cooktop from IKEA already ($50)..... customizations to consider this winter.....

My old Komfort, '04, didn't have an oven due to a federally-mandated gas regulator change and there was a shortage of the new-style ovens. We got 3 drawers and a microwave/convection oven instead. Since we boondock most of the time, that oven only got used on 2 occasions when we were in a CG. We've used the oven in our KZ one time, to make some rolls, but it wouldn't brown them at all and baked very unevenly. Everyone says we need to get a pizza stone. I say we need a =better= oven! :-) Hope you've got lots of amp hours if you want to use an induction cooktop, unless you're plugged in. My cousin and her husband are building up a '64 bus with 3500w of solar on the roof and a Nissan Leaf battery for the coach; something like 2800-2900 amp hours. Check out www.beginningfromthismorning.com for their build blog/vlog. Lyle

No oven = no cookies and that could mean I'd starve.

I do use my oven, even boondocking. I want one that works. The other "oven" I use is the fire pit, sometimes. Dutch oven cobblers and biscuits are the best!!

Not only do we use the gas oven, we bring a toaster oven as well and at times have had both of them going.

Tried biscuits and they burned on the bottom. Saw someone said get a pizza stone. Last trip out used pizza stone and great biscuits for breakfast. Use the oven quite a bit since we boondock alot and don't want to use generator all the time.

I had the same issue, got the same suggestion, but haven't yet found one that would fit. Lyle

I bought it at Target or Walmart. Can’t remember brand. I put it in while oven heated. Just remember to take it out of oven before you hit the road. I think it would slide around and maybe break if left in the oven.

Thanks for the info on the stones. Are they round or rectangular? Does it matter; just need it as a heat sink?

The new Durangos have a little nicer oven than what we’ve had in our previous trailers and so far ours has cooked better. I’ve baked biscuits in it a couple of times and they turned out good. They always burned on the bottom in the others just like everyone else complains about. Still going to try the pizza stone though.

Remember, put the stone in a COLD oven. It will crack if put in a hot one. Also, soak it in water before use about 15 or 20 min
