I have 2013 KZ Durango 2500. The grey water valve handle will not close. It will push in but just springs back out. Something is either broken or has become disconnected. Any suggestions on where to start looking to fix the problem or should I just call a repairman?

Welcome!
Simply follow the cable to the end, there you will find the valve. This might involve pulling down the covering, then removing the four bolts and replacing valve, cable or whatever is defective. If you are lucky, maybe there is simply some debris restricting the movement. This can be a messy job, good luck.

Any suggestions on where to start looking to fix the problem or should I just call a repairman? What's happened is that the valve has become jammed in some way. When you push the handle in, the cable just flexes inside the sheath then it springs straight again. 3 things likely have happened. The valve itself is jammed, the cable has frayed or corroded inside the sheath and won't slide properly or "something" is caught in the valve. Third thing happens when the people building our trailers manage to drop the tank cutout =into= the tank and don't bother to fish it out. It then works its way to the outlet and will either plug the valve or jam it. Lyle

My 2017 Durango 2500 gray water valve was doing exactly the same thing. Tried to lube the cable with no luck. I brought the rig to the dealership and gave them a punch list with that problem included. They replaced the cable and operates smoothly now.

Let me add one more thing it may be as well, to long of a cable. but I agree with the other fellows it's more than likely either a bad/stuck valve or junk in the not permitting it to close ... One other suggestion if possible back flush the system to see if there is any junk in there it clears the valve, otherwise as stated get ready for a messy job ... Good Luck Chuck

Thanks for the suggestions. I will give them a try and see what happens.
