I wonder how often the designers, or build engineers camp in the units they draw up. We love our KZ Connect RB261 but there are minor design issues. The rain gutter on the drivers side, which does have a nice extension to get the water away from the wall of the RV, dumps right on the drinking water hose, filter and pressure gauges. They are all water proof and under pressure so no concern on getting the drinking water contaminated. I just wish they would have ran the gutter 2-3" farther forward, or pulled the water inlet back or forward so it wouldn't be dumping A/C condensate or rain water all over the connections. Oh well, best to camp in dry weather at 70 degrees and won't have the problem at all Love our KZ!!

Wow, I had to go out and look at my KZ to notice that one. We've been using it most of two seasons and that isn't one of the many design flaws that I notices.
I would give KZ a 2 of 5 on the C261RB. Don't get me wrong, we like our KZ, but the workmanship is average at best and the design detail isn't much better.
The only serious issue we've had was the brakes did not work when we got the trailer. The dealer, Scenic View RV in West Point VA has been FANTASTIC with everything and spent a lot of time on the trailer and with the axle manufacturer. Apparently the brakes are supposed to be broken in when the trailer is delivered to the dealer. Turns out whoever KZ had deliver it never used the electric brakes during delivery and we had to break them in by using our brake controller to slow from 50 mph to 25 mph every mile for 20 stops on the way home. We took less traveled back roads, but some of the folks behind us were not happy. After several trips and multiple break-in slow downs, the brakes are now broke in well and working.
The mostly minor design issues with the C261RB include not being able to adjust the shelfs in the refrigerator, the door won't open far enough to get the shelfs out because it hits the shelf below the TV when opening. We also have a dent in the refrigerator door because the little T-arm that is supposed to keep the door closed while traveling doesn't work. I had to build a wedge to fit under it to keep the fridge and freezer doors closed while traveling. We adjusted the shelfs the way we wanted when I removed the fridge to install an ON/OFF switch because the only way to turn the fridge off while plugged in was to pull the fuse from the fuse box. The first thing I did was add a 2" high, 1.5" long blocks of wood the width of the sliding door to the bottom of the bathroom and bedroom doors because when they were close, they came so far forward they came out of the small slide clip holding them towards the wall. Then they caught on the clip and you couldn't open them again. The better half wasn't happy getting locked in the bathroom the first time she used it. The wood frame around the bathroom door slide is built so big and long you can't open the pantry door all the way. Similar to the fridge door. The top slide of the shower curtain is short enough that it slides out and drops out of the end pieces that are supposed to keep it in place. I know cost competition is tight, but 1/4" more length on the aluminum slide piece would have prevented my dealer from having to juryrig a fix for it which I'm sure was much more expensive that that little bit more of metal would be. The black water flush location is also a PIA. It's near the rear door on the opposite side of the trailer from the tank dumps. My dealer said it was to prevent people from mixing up the black water flush and the fresh water fill. I'm sure that's what KZ might have told them was their reason for it, but I think it was easier to put it on that side because the kitchen cabinets were there instead of the shower and it was just easier. Then they still couldn't do it right and my dealer had to cut the kink out of the hose that prevented it from working and replumb it. As for workmanship, there are plenty of minor issues there too. My dealer has fixed pinched and shorted wires on tank sensor, twice, incorrect Coax connections on the TV/Cable cables, the antenna connection was never connected to the radio, I've had to glue and screw the boards back in place on both sides where the shock absorbers for the bed base lifts attach.
If it wasn't for the excellent service we get from Scenic View RV, I would be very down on the KZ trailer.
