Good afternoon all, in the park where we are, a gentleman had a bucket under his downspout catching the AC condensation run off. I asked why, he pours that water in his toilets prior to wash out to save the tap water in the park. He was staying at a park with water restrictions and this was away to help clean tanks. His comment was, it is free to all, and save upwards of a gallon a day, depending the temp etc. I thought it was a well thought idea. He uses a 5 gal paint strainer to keep leaves and such out of bucket. Random thoughts on a rainy day Kirt

Not a bad idea, especially in an area short on water.

We do this in our S&b home on the condensate drain from the central AC unit. Great for watering plants. I have a 15 gallon plastic container with a spout that I use. Better than the city water with chlorine and other chemicals in it.

Maybe in late July and August, when the humidity kicks up. :-) Lyle

I do get run off in the Midwest but they have lots of water.
