Ok, I have a head scratcher. Our TV's are both hooked to the same park cable. Bedroom is crystal clear, living room looks like Minnesota in January. I have checked and double checked all the coax connections, but I can't seem to clear it up, any suggestions? Kirt

How is the signal split, thru the antenna power supply or a stand alone splitter? Did you try swapping the connections?

Have you checker the coax itself? I had bad ends on mine from the factory, used this tester to trace. link

I used a splitter, and have changed the coax cable between all connections. Still have good/bad reception. Edd asked about connectors themselves, they seem to be as expected.

The ones on mine were not crimped properly so connections were not good. If you clanged all the coax that's not going to be the issue. The tester listed checks for open/ shorted and identifies which coax goes where.

As well have you turned on/off the Amplifier (little button behind the bedroom TV ), but as Edd stated a number of owners in the past have had problems with coax crimps in a number of place's ... Also check the coax jumps that are behind the living room TV, bedroom TV, also make sure the jumpers behind the bedroom TV are in the correct order Hope are suggestion solve your problem Chuck

Have you swapped the TV around to see if the snow remains as is or if it follows the TV.

Well, I ran the cable coax thru the window directly to main TV, and no snowy picture. The people set up next to us had same problem in a Montana. Dealer had to open wall behind tv to find splitter and coax. A loose fitting in the wall and it was fixed. So, we will rock on this way till we can get it back in service and see Kirt

I had the same issue. After I found a mystery splitter behind my main TV & removed it, verified what was going where, tightened up all the connections the picture was good. Whoever does the coax work at KZ (and apparently Keystone/ Montana) seems to need more training, as this seems to be an ongoing problem.

I think they just need a dollop of loctite added when they make the connections. Coax is weird and notorious for connectors spinning loose.

If the ends aren't put on correctly, nothing is going to help except for re-doing it. I'm talking about the male and female threaded connectors that have a habit of working loose and causing a lot of the issues that people talk about here.

When I was at the Kz rally a few years back I had a some what the same problem, "Chuck" my namesake who was the RV tech said that at one time the had problems with the splitter behind the bedroom TV as well as the amplifier, he changes out both but in the end found that the TV antenna it's self was bad...
But I agree connectors can look good but can be bad, one has to remember that a connector not only has to have a good center conductor contact but the outside shield needs to have a good connection as well for ground ....

I removed the access panel behind the water connections, (another day story) Tightened all the connections there and tried to see where the lines split to go to both TV's. Sadly, it is somewhere above the basement area. I'm not ready to open up that mess behind the TV in the living room. I believe I will let the dealer fix it when he does my 1 year service. Thankfully that's next month. Kirt

We just purchased 19 281 RLT and found that connecting cable TV input to basement connector the only tv that worked was in the bedroom..After calling KZ and not getting any info except take to dealer for repairs..I decided to dig into this and what I found floored me.. Cable input from basement connector to tv antenna booster..coaxial cable from there to splitter that moved one to the wall another to the basement outside connector..found another splitter that took one more cable to the salon living room tv..then behind fireplace another splitter that feed tv outside...Hooked up to good cable at campground and only tv that would receive any channels was bedroom..If we ran cable through window living room worked great..So once I got home I decided instead of 300 mile trip to dealer I would tear into this and wire coax as it should be done.. Cable TV connector at termination point now feeds 5 way splitter that feeds all coaxe locations and wired in seperate tv connections points. So if on cable hook tv to cable point..if air tv hook to antenna point..if satellite hook to satellite point..Three fresh runs of coax to all TVs using some that was in place and new runs. Funny thing though..Under digital TV antenna in attic there must of been 50 feet of cable up there. I have nothing visible since I used old cable as fish tape for new.. We are not new to RVing since we have owed TT for 38 years..I have never had any issue with any other but this unit needs some love.
