Hey everyone I've got a 2011 spree escape 19SB. Aluminum roof, wavy like crazy, so there is some pooling when the trailer is sitting level. The previous owner used some hardware store silicone for his roof maintenance/repairs. The trailer currently does not leak but im tilting it after rain and keep it covered during winter. Id like to do some preventive maintenance but im unsure how to handle the silicone removal and then what products to use around vents/penetrations and seams? Any guidance would be wonderful. Thanks everyone.

You can scrape most the silicone off so you have a good surface for the new sealant (but be careful, you don't want to gouge the aluminum) then use a brass brush to get the bits off. It doesn't have to be spotless. I have had good luck with Dicor self leveling sealant (it's not just for rubber roofs). Do a search on this site and you will find some links and suggestions for other sealants.
