We took our new KZ Spree for its first trip this weekend. It was a chilly one with highs in the low 50's and a bit windy, but I needed a first trip! We went all the way across the Twin Cities (45 minutes from home) to Baker Regional Park. We crammed our bicycles inside, two on the queen bed and two kid bikes standing up in the inside.
On Friday I learned how to use the water system and setup the fridge to run propane/110. Not too bad on either. The campground had electricity only, and we had to fill the holding tank. We ended up using all the water and had to hook up and dump once. That was a little painful to have to do, but it was good practice! Looking forward to full hookups.
Dh bent/broke the awning while figuring it out in the dark. He'll never admit he broke it, but it worked fine at the dealership and it hasn't been touched since our walk-through. On the agenda this week is to figure out how to get it fixed! It's bent up at the top of the trailer at the rail.
The Equilizer Hitch worked well. It'll take a little getting used to hitching up, but I'm glad we bought it.
That's it! We had fun, but I can't wait for HEAT instead of cold and wind. ;D
