2017 KZ 280thr Toy hauler with the half circle glass shower doors. The shower base has a little too much give in it for me, especially around the drain. I've yet to pull the access panel on the outside to see what I can do. Has anyone reinforced this shower base for more consistent solid floor feel?

When you pull the access panel, then you will see the horrible construction and the need to add support. Yes, I have added support and now my drain pipe doesn't crack.

Not an issue in mine, wonder if it's model specific issue.

We had a radius shower in our previous trailer. I opened the access panel on the front. I used a piece of pressure treated lumber I had laying around, 2x4, and cut several small blocks. I placed these around the center and perimeter as space allowed. This took most of the flex out of the floor. Good luck

I had to reinforce mine also. The tech thought that during manufacture they cut the hole through the floor for drain too large and didn't leave enough for bracing to be added.

We have a KZ C291RL with the radius shower. We put a triangular (radius) shaped teak wood shower mat in the bottom of the shower pan and have not had any problems with flexing since. We got our teak wood mat on Amazon.

Good luck Did you just stack the blocks up and wedge them in there or did you glue it to the bottom of the floor somehow? My radius shower also has a lot of flex when I’m in there. I’m a pretty big guy and I would like to add some support.

There may come a day when the plumbing needs repair so when I blocked up the shower floor I screwed the blocks in place and marked the locations.

I finally pulled the access panel to look under the corner shower unit. To my surprise there is substantial bracing there from the factory. Thick plywood with several 2x4 legs. The entire assembly had shifted and one of the legs was now over the hole in the floor for the drain pipe, which is why I felt no support closest to the drain. I was able to lift the support upward and shift it so the leg is now over solid floor. Love an easy fix. If it shifts again I'll run a screw through the leg into the floor.
I don't like how the drain trap is touching the side of the hole in the floor. Seems like it could cause an issue in the long run.
